Salutations ॐ

We love the Lamiaceae Mint family! This family is diverse and broad, full of many flowering, aromatic plants and culinary herbs we continuously utilize in our homes, gardens and work!

Pictured above is one of our three garden growing Mint plants. One species has dark green leaves with purple stems and two species are a lighter hue of green leaves.

Some other known Lamiaceae family plants are Sage, Rosemary, Marjoram, Basil, Hyssop, Perilla, Thyme, Lavender, Oregano, Cat Nip, and Bee Balm. What's your favorite Lamiaceae plant?

And there's more Lamiaceae family plants growing in our garden like: Ocimum basilicum Basil, Rosemarinus officinalis Rosemary and Lavandula angustifolia Lavender. Hoping you see it where you are!

We, as a species, cultivate these aromatic plants in our garden beds with composting earth and soil, shade and green houses and the element water.

Thus, we are very happy to share that we have (at least!) two native mint Lamiaceae family species growing wild here in Arizona! Mother earth conjures, protects and helps these plants seed, grow, blossom and go back into seed.

We're finding Marrubium vulgare, Horehound and Hedeoma drummondii, New Mexico Pennyroyal both in the mint Lamiaceae family.

We love mints in our teas, soaks, foods, ceremonies, treatments, trainings, aromatherapy, decoctions and infusions! How do you work with the mint family?

Marrubium vulgare is an expectorant, antispasmodic, and possesses choleretic properties. It traditionally has been used for respiratory and mouth conditions.

Hedeoma drummondii is traditionally used as an analgesic and for many different ailments and conditions. Its leaves are used as a soup flavoring and sold like 'oregano' spice in Mexico and South America.

The Lamiaceae plant family truly is a holistic, medicinal plant allie and we offer divine homage and reverence to this plant family, all plant families, the plant kingdom and all the divine auspicious kingdoms and omniverses!

We will explore the Malvaceae and Apiaceae family next time!

May all beings be well happy and peaceful. Free from enmity and suffering. Any merits we have done, may these be shared by all. Sadhu sadhu sadhu, Joy joy joy!

With Mettā Karunā Muditā Upekkhā,
