Blessings & Green Gratitude,

We're posting an update on supposed freshwater seaweed growing on terrestrial soils, without a lake or stream actively running. This may be a new fresh water terrestrial seaweed organism.

The first picture posted is of a seaweed farmer, farming in the water. Typically, seaweed grows in the water.

The other 6 photos we posted, believed-to-be new plants, we found growing after many high desert rain, snow and hail storms on the earths soil crust. There are seemingly two different varieties of seaweed: leafy and stringy.

We've accumulated at least 3.5 inches of precipitation total at this point and both species began miraculously growing from the Earth (no roots attached to the Earth, like lichen or algea) after the first 1 inch of accumulation received.

We're researching and reviewing with local biologists and universities and still continuing to gather information on our find.

Please, reach out if you have any information - we still have fresh and dried samples to test and study for education and preservation.

Mettā Karunā Muditā Upekkhā,
